Alabaster Road is a brand new band based in Atlanta, GA. We are four family members plus a guitarist (who has become like family). Our musical style is hard to pigeonhole. Some of it is straight-up rock, while some is very gospel-sounding; some is adult contemporary and one tune is actually swing. Instrumentally, it\'s heavy with guitars, both acoustic and electric, but there is also a great deal of keyboard and we have featured the English horn performance of Joel Gilbert, Atlanta, on two cuts. The primary lead singer is Brittany Shewbridge. She is featured on tracks 1-3,5,7,10,12,and 14. Her voice is soulful and passionate. Her sister Ashley Shewbridge Hartsock sings on track nine, \'Awaken My Heart,\' which is a sweet worship tune. Ashley is married and living out-of-state now, so it was a treat to have her appear at all. The remaining cuts are sung by Susan Shewbridge, our writer and keyboardist. Her list of music work is pretty long, so let\'s say we skip it. Daniel Shewbridge is our drummer. Though only nineteen, he is often hired for professional gigs in Atlanta and beyond. In 2005 he was the tour drummer for Virgin Records artist, Hope Partlow, with whom he was an opening act for Jesse McCartney. They also performed once on the Tonight Show. Preston Shewbridge, our bass player, is our youngest member (14), but often is the one who keeps us in line musically. He seems to know everyone\'s part...The inimitable Matt Sickels is our guitarist, and once you hear him, you\'ll be trying to steal him for your own band... We look forward to coming to your town!
