At the Woods
I was told that this sounds like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Porcupine Tree, Yes and Kingston Wall. I would add King Crimson and Rolling Stones to the list. Originally, I wanted to do a prog rock song for my uncle, about his summer cottage. I decided to have a pastoral prog approach, made the acoustic live version, and things got out of control, slightly. So I ended up with five versions. I recommend the prog rock version, because it's the full length one, but all the others are equally good, I think. Duo version is a bit more bluesy than the others, and for the piano punk version I definitely wanted to have rough vocals, some sort of 'dark vibes of summer' interpretation. Mainly, the lyrics just describe how things are at a rural summer cottage in Central Finland in summer. So does the music, too, therefore the 'pastoral prog' definition. AEP.
