Product notities

Hello Fellow Music Lovers, Kamie and I are very glad to be releasing our 3rd CD, we hope that you like it. We are still teaching guitar in Oregon and trying to live each day to it's fullest. Here is a brief synopsis of the CD. There is a common thread that runs throughout the lyrics in this CD. We comment on society, "You can tell my mood from my ringtone today", and also give a political perspective, "Everyone retires when they get caught", (I Need To Be Entertained). In the Blues tune "Nickelism", foreign policy is mentioned, "A nickel won't buy you any kind of war, especially one where no one knows what their really fighting for...that watch the dollars rollin' in paid for by human lives". Although some of the songs deal with things that, in our eyes, need adjustment, we also recognize the good and loving side of human nature. (I Think About You, Good Neighbor). "Forevermore" is really a love song that deals with the steadfastness of love in the face of adversity."Politicians fairy tales. Are they insane? They seem insane...and the time we'll spend together, forevermore, forevermore". "Paying For The Past" tells of the apathy that has brought us to this point while "The Burning Bush" is a thinly veiled metaphor of current events. It all culminates in the final song "Bring Me Some Home" which is a song of hope and love. We hope that you enjoy this CD as much as we enjoyed making it. We're printing the lyrics in their entirety in hopes that you'll peruse them at your leisure. Paul Hendershott (of Adrian Fringe) I Need to Be Entertained My life is short and my battery's out and I just wanna know what this movie's about I just want easy, want out of my mind my dreams are real good so I'm sleeping all the time Make it quick, 'cause things've already changed and I'm gonna get bored before it's all explained I need to be entertained I need to be entertained Engineers at the grindstone, supply my pop riding your burn wave like a holy con bop Lookin' high and low for some goodness to borrow What's obscene today will be breakfast tomorrow make it quick, 'cause things've already changed and I'm gonna get bored before it's all explained I need to be entertained I need to be entertained Everyday has got the same old plot Everyone retires when they get caught You can tell my mood from my ringtone today buts it's all these games that I don't wanna play Gimme something new something now something wow Get me high make me fly it's okay if you lie cause my life is short and my battery's out and I just wanna know what this movie's about make it quick, 'cause things've already changed and I'm gonna get bored before it's all explained I need to be entertained I need to be entertained Nickelism A nickel won't buy you any type of thing except maybe a chewy candy and zero gasoline It won't buy you a piece of history, a flower or water to drink and no one'll give you a nickel just for saying what you think A nickel might help you if you saved all you got For two lifetimes baby and you never spent the lot Well I knew a woman so rich she bought the fourth of July I ain't got that much baby but I got the Rocky Mountains in my eye A nickel won't buy you any type of war Especially one where no one knows what they're really fighting for The only thing cheap is the greedy gleaming eyes That watch the dollars rollin' in paid for by human lives If you need a nickel sweetie, I know this dude He'll give you a nickel but then he'll take two Hey, you've got good taste and you want some bling bling But you know that nickel won't buy you a golly danged thing I Think About You Although I've known you for only a short while, I just have to tell you that I melt when you smile. I think about you. I wonder if you think about me. When we met, I tried to act so cool. But, I ended up playing the fool for you. It 's true. And when you told me another had won your heart, I was happy for you But my world fell apart. I think about you. I wonder if you think about me. Just remember, if she ever let's you down, Let me know because I'll always be around. I'll be around. Just remember, if she ever let's you down, Let me know because I'll always be around . I'll be around. Although I've known you for only a short while I just have to tell you that I melt when you smile I think about you I think about you I think about you Good Neighbor You laugh at my every window shade, good neighbor. You laugh at my every window shade. Don't you know it's my barricade, good neighbor? I know you've got a crush on me, good neighbor. I know you've got a crush on me. Who exactly do you think I should be, good neighbor? Good neighbor tell me what you need. I'll follow if you just take the lead. Oh, you needn't labor Oh, good neighbor. Rest your head on me. If I wasn't shy and you wasn't shy, good neighbor. If I wasn't shy and you wasn't shy, Then you and I, we could talk by and by, good neighbor. Well I am one who seldom speaks, good neighbor. I am one who seldom speaks. I'm secret and safe and not very neat, good neighbor. Good neighbor, tell me what you need. I'll follow if you just take the lead. Oh, you needn't labor Oh, good neighbor Rest your head on me. You laugh at my every window shade, good neighbor. You laugh at my every window shade. Don't you know it's my barricade, good neighbor? Don't you know it's my barricade, good neighbor? Don't you know it's my barricade, good neighbor? Forevermore Truth and life and aftermath Then I went to take a bath Sing a song of marmalade Pocket full of friends we made today And the rich keep getting richer The poor keep getting poor And the time we'll spend together Forevermore, forevermore Scientific breakthroughs, They are hurting my brain Politicians fairy tales Are they insane? They seem insane. I believe in everything Especially the songs we sing Struggle with indifference Rake the coals of conscience 'til they glow And the rich keep getting richer The poor keep getting poor And the time we'll spend together Forevermore, forevermore Scientific breakthroughs, They are hurting my head Politicians fairy tales I'll go to bed, just go to bed. And the rich keep getting richer The poor keep getting poor And the time we'll spend together Forevermore, forevermore Forevermore Paying For The Past Parents watch their children grow. It goes so fast, It goes so slow. You cleaned their cuts with iodine. The tables turned off at the sign, And lay in wait of troubled times to come. We are getting nowhere And we're going fast. We are paying for yesterday's apathy. We are paying for the past. Long ago when you were good And you did just what you should. Fate resembles none of us. So, take your time, get off the bus. Living life is easier said than done. We are getting nowhere And arriving soon. We are paying for yesterday's apathy. We don't want to sing their tune. When we begin to see the light, Then we start to sense our plight. Too bad the reverend begged to differ. His starched white collar getting stiffer. He hastens, now, to hide the truth away today. We are getting nowhere And we're going fast. We are paying for yesterday's apathy. We are paying for the past. We are paying for the past. THE BURNING BUSH With sidelong glances the troubadours sang, "Start with a surplus and end with a bang. War was the point, to be in it, not win. To make money, not peace or what could have been." Contagious concerns seemed to drive the crowd wild. "The king has no brains." cried the innocent child. True understanding never visited the fool. His father always bought him his way through school. "Follow my lead and you take the blame. Don't mind my excuses are incredibly lame." Level best is what he wanted, Loyal cries from hearts undaunted. The friar just sat and laughed at the rest, But you know his character was never the best. Between sheets of torment came thoughts unbidden, Conflicting doctrine, agendas hidden. So the king ran the country into the ground. The lords and the ladies dare not make a sound. Answers they wanted in the vastness of fears, Seeing ill gotten goods through a veil of tears. And so he sits in his dwindling mask. The rest of the court aren't up to the task. Sacred oaths are tossed away, Here tomorrow but gone today. Bring Me Some Home Bring me some home, a home for everyone. All together where we belong, Bring me some home. Nothing is held so low as weakness that's shown. The big picture hits the mark and emotions grow old. Wisdom's no patriarch, tired and overthrown. Tomorrow we'll know. Bring me some home, a home for everyone. All together where we belong, Bring me some home. Nothing is held so low as love's great rainbow That rubs against the grain. Some seeds grow unsown. Some will cast the shame and carry the stones. They'll never outgrow. Bring me some home, a home for everyone. All together where we belong, Bring me some home. Nothing is held so low as people unknown, Looking like God and a live wire glow. That's caught and downtrod and pressed in a dreary mold, And then we will know. Bring me some home, a home for everyone, All together where we belong Bring me some home Bring me some home Bring me some home Bring me some home Bring me some home.
