Adenosine is a band born from the roots of Rock-n-Roll. Their riff-oriented songs derive from a belief that everyone loves a great guitar hook. Blending these hooks with a powerful rhythm section produces an intoxicating mix that is hard to ignore. Shannon Watts, (vocalist), and Sal Barbaro (guitarist) were co-writing songs when Mike Gomez, a well-known drummer around the circuit got a call from Shannon about filling in for a show and then eventually became the bands drummer. Brett Winning came shortly after and had been working with the band for months before taking the place of long time friend, Jason Sullivan. Adenosine started playing regularly around Texas when a miscommunication of phone numbers led to an accidental phone call to the wrong Chris. The voice on the other end was Chris Lieck, a well-known Grammy Award-Winning producer. He had heard a little bit about the band and after the initial laugh they had about the mix up of phone numbers started working with the band. A few months later, Chris made the decision to produce their debut album. The band spent over 8 months writing and producing their first effort, Fire Away, on TEG Entertainment. Their sound and style reflect the days of classic Rock-n-Roll when there were little to no limitations in the music industry and radio. They do not adhere to the rules of pop music, but do embrace the elements that make songs interestingly popular. From infectious grooves of songs like 'Riot', 'Go' and 'Turn It Up' to the classic eclectic sounds of 'Fire Away', this album takes you on a long journey. It is an album that must be listened to many times to truly be appreciated. .. ..
