Chains No More
Actifed made an impact in the early eighties London club scene and achieved notoriety music press and a front cover however protracted contractual problems with promoter and record companies delayed recordings hence a year later the same press awarded them ' the here today gone tomorrow' award. When the band did manage to record the first two singles, produced by Tony James from Generation X, legal wrangles with a major pharmaceutical conglomerate company ensued over the name, it all conspired to sentence these boys to the Guntanimo bay of punk before recording of the promised album. Now back from banishment and oppression the album is released and they won't wear these chains no more. Actifed have conspired to hit back with a vengeance with the brilliant new album of the original songs created at the time of exile to rock camp X ray oblivion. Hear the fruits of Actifed's founder members forced hard labour in the studio to capture these previously unrecorded tracks. It has been a few years since these outlaws have been in the studio together, but once they plugged in with amps red-hot and drums pounding the power and the passion unleashed. Listen for yourself, played with venom and originality, it has to be said they just don't make albums like this any more, but Actifed have broke all the rules as usual, the new album from Actifed Chains No More..... but remember.............. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE.
