Formed in 2005, international award winning film maker/visual artist and musician Andrew Klaus and singer and academic scholar Julie Baird make-up the francophile art band A Is for Accident and collaborate frequently with Yves et Ys dans Paris (Yves L'Ordinatuer and Ys Orchestre). Mixing trip-hop, post-punk, pop, hip-hop, folk, and cinematic orchestration, the band has dubbed their sound 'classical rock'. SELFISH promises to be a heady mix of lap-top orchestrations, propulsive drums and dance-y rock tunes featuring the band's trademark moody atmosphere and love-lorn lyrics. The album features collaborations with Beth M. Peterson, Aaron Fuhr, Yves et Ys dans Paris and Lovers of the Arctic Circle. Selfish was released on Le Garçon Sale Records in late March 2009 after a long gestation process. The album's central conceit is around the sense selfishness in ones self or others in relationships.
